Yeah thats right! I accidentally stumbled on their new catalog they hosted on their website pre-SHOT show...OOPSIE!

The Suppressor- http://beta.ruger.com/micros/silent-sr/index.html?r=y

2016 Catalog- https://ruger-docs.s3.amazonaws.com/Ruger_Firearms.pdf (I like the new 22/45 LITE threaded)

I'm already working with Ruger to get you guys a review on this lil dude ASAP. Stay Tuned!

I for one am excited to see a company like Ruger join the NFA world. The more companies that follow them and Sig the better! The more interaction and support for NFA items the better chances we have of changing these ridiculous NFA laws. This is most definitely not the Ruger of yesteryear!

Thoughts?

Interesting. I have a factory threaded American Rimfire rifle and I've noticed they offer several models with factory threading.

I would love to put a generator next to Bill's grave and power it from his spinning.

Darn, was hoping for a RPR in 300 Win Mag

Cool. Glad to see another industry giant get into the NFA game. Hopefully they support the ASA efforts with endorsements and contributions.

I wouldn't doubt that or a 338LM in the future. Only makes sense!

Rugged just left my house and we were able to get some studio pics and shoot it out in the backyard. I will be headed to the range with Ruger and TheTacticalNomad (my camera man) tomorrow to film the review. I posted some teaser videos on my Facebook and Instagram accounts if you can't wait till the full video review is edited and uploaded. Let me know if you have any questions!

That is freaking cool!

I like it, I wonder if there will be a Ruger 22/45 or Ruger American package that has one of these with them.

Dang we have Sig now Ruger doing suppressors. I would have thought it would have been Smith and Wesson before Ruger making suppressors.

It doesn't even matter if it's a better or worse suppressor than current offerings. Having a 'mainstream' sporting brand like Ruger getting into the suppressor market is a great thing for NFA enthusiasts.

A better look at the splines that keep the tube from rotating and coming loose when unmounting the suppressor from it's host. Good for those AR15 SBR under rail .22lr jobs.

Really curious about pricing and how it sounds. Rimfire cans are best cans.

$449 and its comparable to the Mask with its tone. I sensed a VERY SLIGHT FRP but it was really a non issue. Great can for their first go at it.

Nice. I'll bet it retails for $300-$350. I hope Ruger advertises the hell out of it.

I hope Ruger lobbies the hell out of changes to NFA rules.
Not necessarily "sold in blister packs at WalMart Sporting Goods Counters", but let's make this less bureaucratic, yes?

I know next to nothing about suppressors. What is FRP?

Any plans on their part to make a 30cal can?

First Round Pop, the oxygen in the can combusting during the first shot and no longer thereafter due to the can being heated up. Can be alleviated with a misting of water insider the can, various oils.

Gotcha. Familiar with the phenomenon (from reading about it), just not the acronym. :)
