I'm thinking about putting a RMR on my G26. Anyone one done this? Any negatives?
I'm thinking this gun would cycle faster and the sight radius would be a non issue.
Please include pictures and holster options that work for you.

RDS on pistols has a big following on Lightfighter.net where DocGKR contributes a lot. I am pretty sure I've seen 26s set up like that their. People differ on the G26 handling characteristics but I think you are correct about slides.

I saw one at a local match recently, and the guy shooting it said he loves it. He let me and a friend handle it at the safety table, and it seemed like a nice setup. IIRC he had it in some sort of OWB kydex rig, but to be honest, I wasn't paying that much attention to the holster other than to notice that it cleared the RMR fine. He did say that he'd had some brass eject directly into the RMR's lens, so I kind of wonder how many hits the glass can take before it chips/scratches/etc.

I wonder if the rear sight mounted in front of the RMR would prevent that?

I wonder if all rmr equipped pistols have that issue or if its just a BTF deflector when it comes to glocks....

One thing I'm curious about:

That Roland Special thing that's been floating around (RMR'd G19 + KKM comp -> G34-sized gun with fast-cycling RDS)... I wonder if the KKM comp + a G26 would get you into G17-sized territory. I find the G17 length to be far more manageable than the G34 when it comes to a carry gun. If it does, the gun with a mag extension would give you G19ish purchase with a G17 length slide that ought to cycle pretty fast (better dot tracking?) and stay somewhat flat because of the comp.

ssb, would it be possible to chop a G19 frame to take a G26 slide? That seems like it'd do exactly what you want, albeit it'd look REALLY goofy if you ever took the comp off.

Do you have a full review up on that yet, or still just a few prelim pics?

I am still in the process of reviewing the mount. I've put between 350-500 rounds through the gun with the mount on it and zero of the irons have not shifted (and since its one-solid construction the mount itself has not shifted).

It'll probably be into mid summer before I do a "full" review of it.

I bet it's a Glock thing. I would rather do this on a VP9SK if that unicorn ever happens. However the G26 offers many advantages in this format. I can run it appendix in a Vanguard. I can add a Gadget to it for a regular holster. it's smaller and slimmer. Red Dot can be in front or behind the rear sight.
Just many more available and affordable options with the G26.
The other reason I like the G26 is that it will seat any Glock 9mm magazine and is can use it behind enemy line (say Kaliforia) with out buying special mags.

Honestly, LL has posted plenty of ways to address the btf so I wouldn't hesitate if I was you
