I've had a P239 for a long time. Its a pre-Cohen pistol in 40 (one of only two 40s that I currently own).
Has anyone tried the mag extentions for these pistols ? If so, how reliable were they ? I've always been leary of using mag extensions. Have always avoided them, but it would be nice to have an extra round of 40 on board. Thanks.

I had a couple on magazines before I switched over to a 9mm, I had no issues, probably 500-1000 rounds through each magazine with the extension.

Anybody ever experiment with these on 9mm P239 magazines?

Yes. When I switched to 9mm, I put them on the 9mm magazines, and they fit but loose. It did not inspire confidence, and I did not test them further. I think they would function fine, I would not trust them under hard use on the 9mm mags.

Had a friends P239 in .40 for about 8 months so I had many opportunities to carry and practice with it. What I learned before it was returned. My wife's Glock 26 loaded was lighter then the Sig. And need I say has more capacity. The Sig SA/DA with the short reset is something I need more practice with. For that reason I really disliked carrying it. I'd hate to have to draw my firearm if I feel I am a liability using it.
My friend took it back but might be looking to sell it in the future. She feels it not the right firearm for her. (It belonged to her deceased husband )
