Saw one a few minutes ago priced at $450.

I didn't get to coonfinger it properly, but it has some holster wear but the turn line is light. Hogue grips.

It's at Jaffeee's Jewelry & Loans, 421 SW 152nd Street, Burien, WA 98166

I have NO financial interest in this, just passing it along.

You ought to have a financial interest in it. Coonfinger it and if it is solid, buy it at that price. It's almost like someone is leaving free money on the street.

Agreed, but I'm not a fan of fixed-sight revolvers or of 3" revolvers, especially in 357 Magnum. Had it been a 4" Model 19 or 66, I would have dislocated my shoulder reaching for my wallet.

Perfect. I can use the four hour drive to contemplate why, exactly, I sold off my 3" 13 ten years ago.

Well, it's easier to get to than Bellevue, but I have no intention of stepping outside until its time to put out the trash for tomorrow's pickup. Why in the hell are you out in this weather?

Driving home from work.

And thinking of you.

Will you be hurt if I don't think of you while driving home from work at midnight on Thanksgiving or Christmas? :p

...... and here I am in montana

I've bought a gun or two long distance.

Heard about it on a forum, called, asked questions, paid with credit card, along with US Postal shipping to my local dealer (WAY cheaper than UPS air). Dealer sends FFL (they do it by email nowadays), I go pick up gun and pay transfer fee. It adds a bit to the cost, but when its something you truly want,....

I really like my Smith 24 I paid a little too much for at the time, but am nonetheless very happy to have.

I have a family member that has a ffl. Way too easy. I have to exercise control. It's the reason I'm always broke.......

I got a bid in now on a m10......
The seller has a layaway plain.....

I'm so weak.

The tag said 13-2 but it could be wrong. I'll try to get over there today and do my duty.

Coonfingering complete.

It's a plain three-inch Model 13-2 with some holster wear on the cylinder, barrel, and top strap. Looks like an old LEO revolver, but it has no departmental marks or stamps.

No pitting to speak of anywhere.

It has the narrow service hammer and trigger, plus undistinguished rubber aftermarket grips with finger grooves that cover up the serial number on the butt. Turn line is present but not deep, which makes me think that it was carried concealed more than it was fired. Lockup seems adequate.

I well remember the days when revolvers like this could be had at any well-stocked hardware store. Hindsight is SO 20/20… if I could go back to then, knowing what I know now, I would have purchased one every payday and stashed them in a big safe deposit box.

I remember seeing a 520 (the original iteration) at Coleman's in Olla, and thinking to myself, "Who in the world would want this???"

Who knew?

I've tried to ignore this thread ever since it started. I've got a bunch of K frames, but no 3" 13. This is just to let people know that if they want it, speak now, because I'm 20 minutes away and going to break down and buy it tomorrow afternoon.

$450 is a good price these days on a non-P&R fixed sight gun? Or is that because it's a 3"?

Yes. Mostly because it's a 3" and a 357 vs 38

The days of cheap agency trade-in fixed sight revolvers are coming to a close.

Just like $99 SKS are now $300 or $400.

It's mine now. Couldn't wait until afternoon. I'll update with pics in a few minutes. Next steps are a DAO hammer, secret service grips, and a bit of orange nail polish.

I couldn't be bothered to set up lights or a proper camera today; maybe later in the 3" gallery thread. Here's a couple I took in natural light real quick.

Great score. If you only had to have one revolver.......that is a good one. I used one for a couple years as my first off duty gun and as a third gun for working heavy details. You'll be happy. Thanks for getting it.......I needed another one like a hole in the head:cool:

I buy nothing off gun broker. I watch a couple gun forums, am always looking in shops, and will always ask if they have things I am looking for when talking to people on trades or deals. A good example....I had a custom 1911 a guy wanted to buy from me. I asked my usual..."do you have any revolvers"? His answer...."yea, a 3" model 13, a 3" model 66 and a 4" model 29". Of course, my answer was "perfect, I ll take all three for the 1911", and everyone was happy.

IIRC Doc and the boys have some neat stuff that doesn't always show up online. Doc's got a nice couple of original Fitz Specials f'instance. Or it could have been moved already. JA is all over Gunbroker.

Jackson Armory is really a store you need to visit in person.

I was there today and it just went out on the floor. I was seriously considering it.......then walked out of the bathroom and saw something I had to have that also just came in and wasn't even out or priced........which I hate.

I think they want $550 for it. Not a bargain, but it does appear to be unfired. No box.
