I am so proud of this thing, I just had to take a moment to show it off. Although going down the all too familiar Remington 700 road would have been easier, I chose to get this built on a Winchester 70 action. All work was done by Horizon Firearms in College Station, Tx, and includes the following components:
Benchmark 18" barrel in 6.5 Creedmoor
McMillan Game Scout stock
CDI bottom metal/AI mags
2# Timney trigger
Nightforce ATACR F1 4-16x42
The spiral fluting saved me a lot of weight. Glad I decided to go that route, despite my reservations with how it looks. I was going for a compact hunting rifle/long range target set up. It's been working out great so far, wouldn't change a thing. It'll spit out a 5 shot .5moa group at 100 yards pretty easy. Anyhow, just wanted to take a second to brag!
