Curious as to how a 3D printed frame would stand the test of time. But is is certainly cool.

Polycarbonate (ABS) is pretty strong, but to my knowledge isn't used for any polymer handgun frames. This is probably because ABS is somewhat brittle. Fiber-reinforced Nylon, or Nylon seem to be the polymers of choice.

The big issue I see with ABS is solvent resistance. Many ABS formulations have very little resistance to common gun cleaning chemicals, including esters, ethers, ketones, and hydrocarbons.

This would be cool as a test bed for designing custom grips that fit YOUR hands instead of some generic hand size, shape... However, once you get the design finalized you'd still need to get with someone like ProtoMold or other prototype/low volume manufacturer to have a real unit built out of a more suitable material.

Yes. ABS Ghost 360 mag pouches literally cracked to pieces when I used Locktite on the screws.
