You know AIWB has officially gone mainstream when the latest 5.11 catalog has a molded Blade-Tech AIWB specific holster for $25.

Do you know what holster they were pushing for AIWB? I couldn't find an AIWB specific one on their web site.

Had my credit card in hand ready to order one as a guinea pig, but it looks like it's only available for the G19/23/26/27 and the M&Pc.

Interesting that they're focusing on smaller guns when being able to conceal a full size easily is a lot of the reason AIWB has caught on.

I wish it had a solid buckle, or a pair of loops, than that metal clip.

I wish it had a solid buckle rather, or a pair of loops, than that metal clip.

This.

Actually, carrying a full size gun AIWB has never been easier (for most people and situations) than a more traditionally located IWB. That's why there are so few good AIWB holsters, and why some of us have been trying for years to create really good ones that do conceal full size duty guns. It makes sense that a big company like 5.11 would make an AIWB for compact guns, since I'm pretty sure they know nothing about proper holster design. Smaller guns are more forgiving of poor holster design.

This. I've got a horrendously designed aiwb for a j-frame that works just fine... for a j-frame. Who cares? Concealing a j-frame takes as much effort as breathing air. The whole point of holsters like the Shaggy and In-Victus, etc., is that they allow people to carry the gun they'd want when things get bad rather than forcing them to carry something day to day that conceals in a paper sack.

I like how they call it suitable for, "appendix or kidney," carry positions.

What's next...holsters optimized for the, "iliac crest," carry postion?
