This falls under the "get together" portion of this section. Mods, feel free to move if there is a more appropriate sub forum.

I met up with member DEG yesterday at Mill Creek for some other business, and he mentioned getting a PF shoot up and running. I think it's a great idea so this is my attempt at gauging interest from our forum. I know of a few members who reside/frequent in and around KC, so I think this could have a solid turn out for a good time on the range. Mill Creek Rifle Club in DeSoto, KS would be one option for the venue as it has plenty of space and ranges. It also allows for more than a few guests to be brought on by members, so no issues there.

This could even be a recurring event or something along those lines.

Thoughts, comments, concerns?

Thanks for moving this forward! I would make every effort to attend, and also help with the arrangements.

Sounds good. I spoke with vcdgrips and he's interested as well. So what are some of the dates/days most are open to? Usually weekends are free up for myself. Although a few Monday's and most Thursday's work as well.

The weekend is generally good for me. The weekend of Sept 4 is taken, but this coming weekend and the weekends rounding out the month are good.

Maybe some shooting and then cigars, for those that partake? I can bring the stogies.

Naturally, this comes up three weeks after I move away to Dallas.

Well, that is pretty bum timing, but this is open to all PF members, so if you're back up around these parts, by all mean, join in the fun.

My first totally cleared SEP weekend would be 18-20.

If my work schedule allows I might be able to make it.

All PFers are welcome! So how does 19/20 SEP sound? AM, PM, ZERODARKTHIRTY?

Chuck, have some solid news on a different front coming your way.

First- good on you for taking point on this.
Second-I am likely out given a BSA Campout
Third-Somebody is always going to have something. Consider a standing date every month perhaps?

I will be there either on the 19th, or the 20th. Most likely 1000H. Will post here to confirm prior to going out.

I'll plan to be there.

Okay, I will be there on SAT, the 19th, around 1030ish. Pizza range, unless it's overflowing with folks, which has happened one previous time. If you wish to join, and are not a club member, PM me and I'll let you in. Preferably prior to SAT once I'm shooting.

Great, I'll see you there. Please bring one of the P30Ls if you can. I have a brace of P30s but am hankering to shoot an L with the LEM.

Sure, I can do that. Usage fee will only be $1975 for the matched, sequential serial number set, WITH an extra RSA :) But the cool thing about this usage fee, is that you get to keep them both. Forever.

Hey, If they come with skill, that would be a bargain.

First PF link up was solid fun and some good shooting. Life got in the way for some, but thanks to those who made it out. We'll have to make this a regular deal, especially now that DEG has shown me the light on the IPSC bays!

Spring or summer time on the next one would be awesome. Fall provides me very little free time.

I hear ya on that. My next few weeks are about to get crushed time-wise. I think that these will and can happen on a regular, rolling basis, and certainly pick up in frequency once spring arrives.

Okay, so with nice weather and time availability starting to become more frequent again, the time is upon the greater KC PF community to link up for some fun again. I'm thinking sometime in May at Mill Creek. I'm really flexible outside the weekend of 14th/15th. Let's start with that and go from there.

I should note, that even if you are not from the greater KC region, you are obviously plenty more than welcome to join in!
