Pat Rogers is testing/running one in his classes. Time will tell.

You've got to use a special tool to install the barrel, or it voids the warranty. These have been on sale for about a year, I think.

Two questions I hope you all can discuss:

1) What about this rig is supposed to make polymer "work" as opposed to most poly AR15s?

2) Will the problems that plagued the G36 polymer receiver also plague this? Is such avoidable with a polymer upper?

This. So far, so good, according to Uncle Pat.

I wonder what the actual weight difference is from aluminum?

I had a range session with one and liked it. Very light and fast-handling. It was lighter than the similarly configured 6520s and 6720s present. Easily kept in the shoulder with one hand while manipulating other items (mags, comms, etc). Overall balance was good. Recoil was mitigated by a brake, but I don't recall which one was installed. I'd run one more, given an opportunity.

Any mention about metal inserts in the lower? Doesn't seem that they externally address breakage issues other lowers have had, perhaps it's internal.

Will be interesting how it holds up to Pat's use. Maybe not tough enough for use by a Marine, but durable enough for the average guy's use?

Lightweight sure is nice -- T2, ProTac 1L in a Proctor mount, and a lightweight sling would make for a sleek little package.

The SWAT guys got three of them. Since SWAT guys can break anvils we'll see how they hold up to shooting and general carry. I got to hold one. It felt good and was very light. Unfortunately I didn't have the chance to shoot one.

Those Faxon barrels they use are good too. I have a 16 inch pencil 416r barrel I replaced my DD barrel with.

I keep planning on buying one Robar but I keep shooting and buying ammo with the Spare Money.
