Looks like a nice light, but I'm not sure I'm a fan of the rotate-on-off treatment.

100 bucks?

Pass.

Surefire needs to stop trying to charge 3x what everyone else does.

For the things I actually need a light for this looks right up my alley.

I think it'd make a really nice $30 flashlight, that's what my Maratac AAA cost me and it's specs are almost identical.

138 vs 300 lumens on high?

I am also not a fan of the twist feature. It would be nice if it had a click tailcap option and you twist the head to the desired output you wanted and can be left that way.

I understand the appeal is its size but for that price I would just get a single output fury.

I just wish FourSevens would make the Quark Tactical again. I asked them when they think they might return, no answer.

I think they pulled that line in response to legal action from Surefire

Yup. I'd even go $50 for the SF premium.

SF killed that one. Unfortunately SF has yet to put out a comparable flashlight since doing so.

I have read the number one failure for an alkaline battery flashlight is battery leakage. Sorry don't have reference available for that statement.
I gave two of these lights for xmas they fit in a change pocket or on a keychain and are very bright for the size.

^- Agreed re: alkaline. You won't find a single alkaline-powered light in my house. Even my 3-year-old has a Quark with an Eneloop. :) Also, on a high-end light you'll never reach peak performance on alkalines, need rechargeables (NiMH) or lithium primaries (L91/L92).

I always have a tiny single-cell NiMH light on me, I use it much more often than the dual CR123A light I also carry. I'd buy a Titan Plus in a heartbeat if it had infinitely variable brightness like the original Titan. Or if it had discrete stages as spec'ed with the addition of a sub-1-lumen "firefly" mode, and the UI was twist further to increase brightness (vs. on-off-on-off-on...). As it is now, the only thing that really stands out (aside from the price) is the max brightness, which is impressive but not that valuable to me for this type of light.

My recollection is that the SF spec says rechargeable or lithium, no mention of alkaline.

I currently pocket carry a Pelican 1910 but this might take the cake, Pelican has tail switch though.

One AAA NiMh (incl) or one AAA Alkaline

I'm good with my regular Titan. But I could pay $100 for a 300 lumen SF that small.
