I recently joined USPSA and found that my S&W M&P CORE ported puts me in the open classification. Can I replace barrel with an unported barrel and be placed in production class? There would still be machined ports in the slide.
Is there a possibility of a new production classification with ported barrel?
Don't know the rules, but if you have a 4.25 I have a slide and new barrel I would trade you for just your slide. And you could sell the ported barrel.

Yes, you can. Just pick up a new barrel.

It says this under the production gun list for glocks -
"C models are allowed providing that the barrel is non-ported and the other requirements are met."
I assume the same would apply for the performance center cores. I could be wrong. I would shoot HQ a email.

Is a threaded barrel allowed under production classification? Thanks.

Threaded barrels are not allowed in Production division.
Hint:
Divisions are Production, Limited, etc.
Class/Classification is U, D, C, B, A, M, or GM.
