Unfortunately with there being no Sig agent here spares can be a nightmare to find. I cannot even get the roll pins for the slide of my 88 production 226. A local gunsmith recommended replacing both with a single solid pin. On the face of it that would seem a logical solution. But I wonder to myself why no one else see to do that or why Sig didn't do that from the beggining? Does anyone know why that wouldn't be a good idea?

I also remember Reading a while ago that the short trigger could cause some sort of issues with the pistol. Something to do with the change in leverage. Is this true or just errornet malarky? Thanks.

You CANNOT replace the dual roll pins with a solid roll pin. It has to be one of the new spiral roll pins, not the solid roll pin used in milled slides.

Here's the difference.

The bit about the short trigger having different leverage is complete horseshit, the leverage is the exact same.
