As those of you who shot the KSTG match last month already know, beginning with the July match, we will be running a USPSA monthly match instead of KSTG. Signup for the USPSA match will be through Practiscore and will open July 13th. The match will be listed on Practiscore as "Fairfax PS July 2015." I'll still be acting as the match director, so expect stage design to be similar to the KSTG matches, with small changes due to the different rule sets.

The match will hopefully be conducted as an official affiliated USPSA match, assuming our application is approved by the date of the match. If you are already a USPSA member, are interested in shooting the match, and will be at the NRA Range this week, please ask at the counter to sign the club application form.

USPSA membership is not required to shoot the match, but any classifiers you shoot as a non-member cannot be submitted to USPSA for classification.

If you have any questions regarding the match, or, if you are available to help with setup or ROing (match staff shoot for free), please email: fairfaxpracticalshooters@gmail.com.

Looking forward to it. Any chance you can have stages with dividers? (trash bags) I have enough green screen to overlay on them to really get into some mischief... :D

I will miss the KSTG - always a good match, and an interesting set of problems. But also happy to shoot USPSA; I like the freeform problem solving that this format offers.

Oh man, I totally missed out on the final days of KSTG. I'll try to come out and shoot Single Stack one of these days. It's been many years since I've drawn from an OWB holster. I suddenly feel an urgent and compelling need to buy a .40.

Sad to see KSTG go away. But any match that Josh is running will be a great one with challenges.
I plan to make the inaugural match. I wish I could allow AIWB in IDPA but now that I am Area Coordinator, have to be the good role model.
Let me know if you need help.

Hi Josh,

Is the form already at the front desk? I plan to go to the range tomorrow, Friday evening since I work this weekend Saturday/Sunday.

We already have sufficient signatures. Hopefully, the application will be approved before the match.

I missed the past couple KSTG but I'm in for this match. I am off and can help with setup.

I'm also available to work the match beginning to end.

That said, where is the link to squad? I got the e-mail after registering, but not the one allowing for choosing a squad?

Please disregard. I found the e-mail and joined a squad.

Any other dates scheduled for this with NRA Range yet?

Thanks to Josh for putting together a fun match, and to John for the video. When I got home, I couldn't stop re-watching myself run into the wrong shooting area on stage 4 to rack up my 16 procedurals. That was a heck of a lot of fun, and I'm looking forward to next time! It is always going to be the 3rd Tuesday?

I think repel boarders was my favorite stage. It was a nice change of pace from the usual positional stuff. It's also a really subtle challenge as going super fast isn't as easy as it seems

I have some corrections to make to the scores. Anyone who got a foot fault for being just over the line should have received only one procedural rather than a procedural per shot fired. I'll fix them tonight.
