TODAY:

Washington (CNN)The President's trade agenda scored a major victory Tuesday when the Senate voted to advance a bill to allow "fast-track" approval of large international trade bills.

The outcome of this key procedural vote had been in doubt as a group of 14 pro-trade Democrats weighed whether to continue their support of the bill out of concern that a related workers' assistance package might not pass both chambers.

But after repeated assurances by GOP congressional leaders that workers' assistance measure will be adopted, 13 out of 14 backed the bill.

The vote was 60 to 37, passing by the slimmest margin needed to pass.

APRIL 15, 2015:

Grassley: At the time of the Chilean-Singapore Free trade agreements there was a special carve out of H1B visas for those countries. We have reason to be concerned about overreach of this administration to unilaterally change our immigration laws. Could you assure the committee that the TPP agreement does not and will not contain any provisions related to immigration, visa processing, or temporary entries of persons?.......
Grassley: If congress grants TPA to President Obama, could immigration provisions be included in future agreements, or is that precluded because of Congress’ plenary constitutional power over immigration?
Froman: We haven’t seen the TPA Bill, but it is our expectation that we wouldn’t be doing anything in this area without Congress’ approval.

Remember when you had to pass it to see what's in it? Welcome to 'you have to pass it and you'll still not see what's in it.'

I guess this is how they'll 'fix' Obamacare? 2nd and 3rd world country doctors will come in and be trained by our medical professionals and then work for 50% the wage?

I'm starting to feel like a broken record...but if you aren't developing skills that are marketable in other countries, you could be setting yourself up for failure. Everyone should have an escape plan, that includes not only leaving your city or state, but leaving the country too. This place is getting worse, not better.
