There are a few Glock related threads going on out there and I have contributed to one or two of them. I have had some questions or inquiries and I thought that it might be easier for me to answer things in one thread instead of replying in multiple threads or answering PM's.

I will first be up front that I am NOT a pistol specialist like many who you may find here on this site and there are many here who might shoot circles around me. I am a very involved pistol shooter and I do tend to favor Glock pistols in which I have a lot of background and experience with as a shooter and instructor. Again I do not consider myself to be a pistol specialist and out of necessity I spend just as much time or more behind a carbine, shotgun, submachine gun and precision rifle as I do training with a pistol. I actually consider myself better with a carbine and a precision rifle than I am with a pistol, but I try to stay balanced or well rounded on all platforms. Having been upfront about that I do consider myself very knowledgeable especially in regards to the Glock and some of its special characteristics. I offer the following in regards to my experiences with the Glock pistol.

Many have asked what I do as far as modifications are concerned. Do I need to do them? No, I don't. Do I like to hand fit them? You bet I do. What follows are what my personal preferences are and what I like to do....

There was a Glock trigger thread going on right now in the forum and in the past I had quite a bit of video available on Glock triggers. Those video's are long since gone, however this the only video that I know of that is still available from the past that was ripped and posted by another youtuber (I am OK with that). There are some minor things I might say differently, but for the most part this video is still current on my thoughts. This is from circa ~2010.

Great videos. Thanks for sharing them. Would you be willing to describe how you "heat roll" the mag release and magwell? What is your heat source, and how do you know what is enough versus too much?

Surf, are all your old videos going to be re-posted? You had such a plethora of of videos on you tube all with great stuff in them. Just curious.

Thanks,

I remember that trigger skills vid; I think your reach (heh) is farther than you know. Good then, good now. Thanks for posting these clips here.

The video on trigger technique was outstanding and-- no BS-- made me a better Glock shooter within a few range sessions.

Thank you for re-posting these Surf. Your channel was the best gun related youtube channel.

Agree. That was the only youtube channel to which I ever paid serious attention.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the comments on the past video stuff. I was in on it in the early years and my intent was never to have things grow to the point that it did. It was in a way disappointing to see so many hours and hours of work go away, but on the flip side my online content between youtube, facebook, forums, emails, messages was getting to be a bit hard to keep up with and occupying too much time. I never wanted to be "known" and it was a bit strange being recognized out at large events, just because of my voice and neck down appearance. A bit strange.

I was also not really liking being thought of as a firearms youtuber like others who have very large channels to this day. Zombies, soda bottles, fresh veggies, tannerite, showing chicks with tits and ass wasn't my thing. Well tits and ass really is my thing, but not what I was going to do with a channel, but are all good things to get mad views, but I wasn't monetized and it wasn't about money either.

I also didn't like having my stuff "ripped off" which was rampant in a couple, two or three other guys out there making videos. Within a week of posting a video, there it was remade by some else. It wasn't so bad except for the fact that they did not really have a grasp of the material and they often butchered it and that is what bothered me. I was always asked to do interviews, shout outs or "friend" other youtubers in that genre of video making, but I don't care for most of them and / or their content and declined or ignored the requests. Associating my name for credibility wan't going to happen. A turn of events in employer policy was a good reason to shut it all down, so I did.

Anyway, thanks again guys. The video's I am making now are unlisted on youtube and really intended to help contribute to this forum and its members.
