I like the full size Griptillian a lot. It is a fantastic utility blade and is not uncomfortable in an RGEI hold.

I am also partial to waved pocket knives for a few reasons.

Cut off wheel and about ten minutes resulted in this:

I plan on waving a couple more Griptillians in the same manner making slight changes, but I'm pretty happy with the results on this knife.

The smoothness of the AXIS lock while the blade is opening, and the solidness of the lock is very noticeable in this context.

The AXIS lock is also very reliable. I often get failures to lock open with my waved Enduras and Delicas.

I love the mini-Griptilian as a utility blade.

That's the next one I am going to cut up.

My girlfriend has carried a pink MG for years.

Huge Griptilian fan here. I have a few with Wilkin's grips and they are hand's down my favorite edc blades. While your work on it look's really well done, I still prefer to have a thumb stud for opening.

Nice work. See below for a youtube video where in a guy does the sane thing with a thumbhole version. He is a bit long winded at 11ish minutes. He gets to business about 5:30 forward.

A large wire tie pulled tight and trimmed on the thumb hole of your Grip works just as well if you don't want to permanently alter the blade.

This known as the "Getto Wave" or "Redneck Wave" depending on your geographic locality.

Since you mention having those scales...

Can you say which ones you have and comment on the thickness of the knife with the aftermarket scales vs. the stock scales? I love the Griptillians but find the handle to be too thick in many of my pockets.

I love my mini-Griptilian. Mine has the thumb hole for opening, similar to a Spyderco. Does Benchmade offer the full size Griptilian with a thumb hole.

BTW...BOM, nice work on the wave mod.

I like them a lot. The scales are wider but not as thick/rounded. The knife seem's to ride flatter in the pocket. I'll take some pic's of the two in a bit.

So that was the thumb stud model, with the drop point blade?
If so, that is very relevant to my interests.
How'd you go about doing it?

Yes sir it was.

I will type something detailed out when I'm in front of a computer.

Here's one of the Griptilians I modded several years ago:
