I upgraded four Glocks with Vickers Tactical Slide Stop for Glocks (http://www.redstatetactical.com/Vickers-Tactical-Slide-Stop-for-Glock_p_118.html)

and

Vickers Tactical Extended Magazine Release for Glocks (http://www.redstatetactical.com/Vickers-Tactical-Extended-Magazine-Release-for-Glock-17-19-22-23-24-26-27-31-32-33-34-and-35-by-Tango-Down-Gen-3-Style_p_83.html)

All four Glocks are Gen 3, G22, G17, G23, G26

I don't see much buzz about these products and was wondering who else uses them?

Opinions pro and con are welcome too.

I like the mag release.

I like the feel of the slide release, but the springs are sub-par and wear out far earlier than the Glock part. They also have an issue, which was apparently by-design, where the slide is held just a a little bit too far forward (closed), this can make inserting a loaded mag more difficult.

Thanks for the heads up.

I wasn't expecting problems from such a minor change but that thread spells it out clear. I guess we'll see.

I've tried both and took them off carry guns. I still have a couple Gen 3 mag releases on a couple guns though. I didn't find them to be as transformative as some do.

Tried the slide stops but had issues with the spring wearing prematurely, so the OEM unit is back on all of my Glock 17's. I do like the mag release in my Gen 4's, however.

I have the mag release on all four of my Gen3 19s. In conjunction with the "scalloping" of the frame there that Bowie does, the Vickers product (which, I believe, is nothing more than a large-frame/longer release shortened a bit with the corners rounded slightly) really does help me and my small hand/short fingers. At first, I was concerned regarding the potential for inadvertent "activation"; but carrying the pistols in several different holsters, for enough time to be sure, has proven that concern to be groundless.

No idea regarding the slide release lever; I use OEM parts there.

I tried the Vickers parts and generally went back to Glock OEM ones. FWIW, the Glock extended mag release can easily be trimmed back to whatever size and shape the shooter wants; likewise, the Glock FBI mag release is very similar in size to the Vickers one.

I like the mag release (for Gen 3s), still don't like the slide stop though.

I have had good luck with the slide stop. The mag release seems fine but I can get to the same place by grinding on and stippling/texturing a factory extended one at a fraction of the price.

It seems as though almost all the aftermarket Glock parts have issues, except sights and perhaps magazine base plates.

For that reason I pretty much just run Glock OEM parts these days.

I really like the Vickers mag release and run it on three of my Gen 3 G19s. Before upgrading, I would occasionally have trouble getting the mag to drop when attempting fast reloads. I have no such issues with the Vickers release and find it to be the perfect size and shape. I have no use for the Vickers slide stop.

I use his mag release on all my Gen4s and my Gen 2 G19. I have no use for the magazine base pads or slide locks.

Out of curiosity, what is the symptom of a worn slide stop spring, premature slide lock? Any reliable pass/fail sort of inspection test for it?

Every difficulty I read about is with a Glock 17 or 19. How about the G26 or any of the 40’s?

Premature lock back.

Vickers slide stop wouldn't run at all on a G20/29 with full power loads, locking open after each shot with cartridges still in the mag. I prefer the stock OEM slide stop, and as a lefty, my wife prefers the extended OEM slide stop as it makes it easier to reach underneath and depress the slide stop. Removed Vickers slide stops from all pistols, but still use the Vickers Gen 3 mag release on some pistols.

I much prefer the Vickers Gen3 mag release over the Glock OEM parts. I don't see a need to replace anything else.

I like and use the Vickers mag release and slide stop in two of my Glocks. I haven't had any issues with the slide stops to date but am not able to put the same round counts on mine that other have so YMMV.

The Vickers mag release, along with sights, are my first additions to any gen3 Glock 19.
