S&W 1006 value?

Anybody have an idea of a fair price for a good-exc condition S&W 1006?

A friend is asking me to list it for him, but he's at a loss for a price. I'm not familiar with 3rd Gen Smiths. The gun comes with the box and nine magazines.

There's one on Gunbroker right now for an $800 starting bid with a $950 BIN, but apart from that I can't find any recent listings to reference price against.

The 1006s are in demand from the folks wanting 10mm, they are never going to make them again, so it's rather a seller's market for those guns.

That price range seems pretty common in my observation.
