P30S .40 S&W loaded with 14-rounds of 165gr Speer Gold Dot HP goodness, resting in a Milt Sparks VM II.

As for rotation, I don't believe in rotation; however, I will flip between a P30 9mm and .40 from time to time. If I have pants on, I'm armed. Will be transitioning to an HK45c once my holsters and support equipment arrive.

LL,

The Springfield? Mine is. I have three of them, one issued and two personal. The issued one needed some work to make it right. After the work it has gone 5,000 rounds without a problem. The personal one that I carry everyday just hit 1300 flawless rounds about 50 minutes ago. No cleaning yet, but lube as needed. It will legitimately hold 1" groups at 25 yards, though I need a pretty good rest to prove that. Everything about it is smoooooth.

Got to shoot a more box stock springfield today as well. Let's just say that it was less reliable.

Based on what i have learned from www.pistol-training.com and this forum, I will be investing in a 3rd Generation Glock 17 or 19 as my EDC.

I haven't used a Looper for AIWB since the Shaggy came out. While some still prefer the Looper due to particular size/comfort/concealment issues, for me the Shaggy is head and shoulders better for an aiwb that's going to get used a lot.

-S&W 64 2" .38spec, also typically carried in an Uncle Mike's pocket holster (will be replaced), loaded with Winchester 125 grn Silvertips (will try the new Gold Dot short barrel load). I usually carry two speedstrips for a reload.

I carry a gen3 g19 in a holster made by orionz06. I find it's as close as I can get to a fullsize gun that is still concealable at all times. It makes a good complement to my gen 4 g17 which I carry on duty, but I find the more pronounced hump somewhat annoying. It might get sent to boresight for a grip reduction.

Currently? I'm not carrying, but, I've got an Loaded AK-47 magazine, which is like a 1 pound steel boomerang (I'm kidding, about using it as a weapon), and about two steps away from an AR and four magazines in a range bag, and two pistols in a range bag, unloaded.

I'm kicking around the idea down the road of getting a pocket pistol for around the house (Honestly, I don't always wear pants/shorts with a 1.5'' belt and 3 lbs of steel around the house)

But I normally carry a Dan Wesson CBOB and two spare magazines. Saving for the replacement, either an HK P30S or S&W M&P9 with Thumb Safety, both with their flavor of preferred trigger and Heinie Straight-8's.

ETA: And I have an Attack Corgi that'll maul ankles.

As much fun as it would be to dress up like Justin Wilson, I carry that stuff just fine with an Eagle Industries nylon belt. It's perfectly comfortable, believe it or not. BWT
03-10-2011, 11:34 PM
Wait, where are you going to keep it?

Prison wallet.

Kidding, uh most sweat pants / basketball shorts I wear if I'm exercising or just lounging around have pockets.

It's also a great thing for those "We've got to go now!" moments, like running to do something you didn't plan, don't have time to shower, etc, running late, instead of leaving the pistol on the night stand because I can't wear the correct clothing, It'd be nice to have a pocket pistol, or if you're making a run to the grocery store for eggs or milk or some dinner item that you have to get out and get to while the food is still cooking, walking to get the mail, whatever, and don't have time to change your entire out fit and put on a pistol, etc.

Like for instance, also, I go to the gym, about anywhere between 3-4 times a week, on days off I like to relax, and go walk at a lake near by after lifting weights and doing physical exercise, kind of get out enjoy the day, I'll take my shirt off, get some sun on my pasty white skin right? It'd be nice to throw an LCP in a good holster in my pocket while I walk at the park after, in case you know, one of the pitbulls that people like to not keep on their leash decides it wants to chew me up, or while I'm at work, because some days (I'm still in the retail environment somewhat) like Black Friday or the Christmas Season, I seriously want to carry a gun because there are *that* many incidents and people do do stupid and desperate things, even if it gets me fired.

Or if someone comes to the door, it's nice to have.

I though the Ruger LCP was that gun for me, and frankly, after shooting one somewhat extensively... I know it's got a mile long trigger pull, the Crimson Trace grip takes up pretty much all of the grip and makes it unusable (Because it won't fit in holsters correctly anymore, and it's getting too bulky) as a pocket pistol largely, and it recoils funny and has no sights. I think surprisingly that I would not recommend getting the Crimson Trace Grips.

Or if I'm golfing or doing something physical and I can't conceal carry a full size pistol, but want to keep a pistol on my person, like hiking, etc, etc.

It's one of those "something's better than nothing" guns.

I absolutely agree that I'd want to take a full size P30S or M&P9 with a thumb safety most days, but, that's not always an option.

I don't carry as much as I'd like, and I think a small pocket pistol could change that for me.

MTechnik

It's fine, I appreciated the humor. ;)

I'm thinking I need to find a pocket pistol, ankle carry I've decided is too slow and awkward to get too, and dictates to me what clothing I can wear, etc, I find pocket carry is probably going to be the easiest.

I still want a main carry pistol, and I plan to buy one before I get an LCP, but, I think they're a good thing.

A Glck with 20, two knives, and two 642s? Kansas must be back to its wild days or something..... Why 2 BUGs?

Not one, but two new york reloads. I like it.

When I was doing uniformed patrol, I always carried two J-frame BUG's--one on an ankle and one in an offside pocket. It is hard to predict what position one will find themselves in when the time comes that a BUG is desperately needed, thus two disparate locations...

At this very second, nothing. The two Malinois have watch detail, and the safe with the long guns is open.

Because I had to give up the G26 on my ankle due to a bum knee. And we changed uniforms so now I can do this;

I figure if two is one, and one is none, then three is at least 2.25 or something....

This is my ROCK (gen 1, naturally). I'm waiting on a Shaggy from Custom Carry Concepts. Though to be honest, I feel safe carrying it in a pocket without a holster for now.

I just watched most of a 2 hour webinar on this and pocket carry is not suggested. Deployment from a 3-day assault pack is how the HSLD types are saying is best. Anything else is setting yourself up to fail.
