I'll bet Chuck does. I KNOW LSP552 does. I was digging through some stuff in our photo section today and found references to this and our own version… "Trooper Malice".

Funny stuff… and Dave Smith is a hoot to party with.

Oh yes, seen every one back in the day. Nothing will make you feel older than saying "Buck Savage" to a young copper and getting a blank stare in return.

Thank God for Youtube! I use it almost daily to explain cultural references to our youngest investigator (25!). I have tennis rackets that old.

Not as old as y'all but I still follow him on bookface.

The line "saw drunk, arrested same," is one that almost every cop I know uses to describe incomplete reports. Guy's great, and still does a great deal for police education.

In my Mobile Obervation Platform driving from the city to the county. Buck Savage videos were shown in my academy. They weren't that old then.

Dave is a hell of a speaker in person too.

In my Mobile Observation Platform...

I think that was my favorite one.

The young guys on my shift love the "Buck Savage" videos. Of course, I occasionally hear whispered suggestions that I was on the flagpole during the University of Maryland riots back in the day.

Another popular favorite on my shift is "Animated Stories of the Freeway Patrol" which you can find on YouTube.

A while back, our records bureau did a purge of old reports from the '30s. One was a drunk arrest that was pretty much identical to your example and not much longer. I tried to slip one like that past my watch commander one night, but he wouldn't go for it.

"Bad guys don't kill you with their feet, they kill you with their hands . . . "

And my personal all-time favorite:

"It never hurts to be refreshed before a crisis . . . "
