I'll start by saying that I'm not a revolver guy and really don't like J frames normally. With that being said, I just ran across a model 36 no dash in at least 95% condition for $329. It doesn't have the box and its sporting Hogues, but I really don't care about that.

Is that a fair price considering I don't really know what I would do with it?

Five years ago, I'd have thought that was a pretty cheeky asking price for a J. Now? If it's an honest >95%, it's about the going rate, and maybe a little low for a pinned-barrel gun.

(Still can't get over garden-variety Hand Ejectors like 2" 36s and 4" 10s bringing more than two bills. Kids these days! Get offa my lawn! :D )

I agree. Where I live you will pay probably $350-400 for that pistol, so $329 isn't bad. I thought all the light weight j-frames would keep prices down on the steel ones, but that doesn't seem to have happened.

Given that it's (more or less) 2015, and not Y2K, that strikes me as great. I've seen 3" 36-1s stickered at 6 bills in my area more than once. It's been a while since I've seen any vintage J much under 350.

Thank you all. I was obviously not meant to "get" into revolvers since it was gone when I went back.
