Looking forward to seeing you knock over cover objects and props; although of course perhaps not as much to see you outshoot me... but c'est la vie.

What caliber for abominable snowman?

What caliber for abominable snowman?

I don't think it is a caliber issue, but rather a round selection issue. Unfortunately, NRA prohibits incendiary... (grin).

S'alright...if I'm close enough, the fireball will have a greater effect than the bullet.

Will there BE an evaporable snowman this time?

Missing my first KSTG in over a year and a half. :( Sorry Josh. No 9x25 Dillon this month.

Thanks for a great match folks, as humbling as the stages are it always good to be reminded of focus areas for future practice sessions. And always good to shoot with you again, it has been too long.

Here's also hoping for movement in the New Year on that rifle match you guys have been trying so diligently to advance. Sounds like maybe a wildcat / KSTG-R might be the way to go to build momentum....

Merry Christmas.

Thanks Josh and company for putting on a great match last night. There were some TOUGH stages in this one.

KSTG-R sounds like a lot of fun, I would definitely shoot that match. I would recommend the KSTG concealment requirement be removed as I don't think I can fit an AR-15 with an 18" barrel and a fixed stock in my waistband.

I shot well......................

except for the nine procedurals.

TOUGH stages. FredM christened this match the Kobayashi Maru match.

Thanks to everyone for coming out for the match and especially to FredM and Lil for helping with setup and match administration.

I'm actually shocked I did as well as I did. Would have been close to a personal best without those foot faults on stage 2. Thanks for putting this one together. I got a little insight into the sausage-making when I showed up early enough to observe the test run, and I know a lot of work goes into it.

Merry Christmas to all!

(I'd also be all about a rifle match if there's effort going that way... :D)

Me too but as it is, I contributed the least out of the setup crew and still spent seven hours of my leave day and family time on this match, total.

Finally got the first of my two videos put together. I'll do the second one tomorrow evening, I think.

Thanks to the crew for a delightful evening. I look forward to next time!

Ha! You earned your sig line with that run. I feel bad for the no-shoot on the last stage.

Quite disappointed that kle hasn't shown up with a .460 S&W. At 200 yards it has the muzzle energy a .44 mag does at the muzzle.

Don't give him any ideas. ROing him shooting the 44mag indoors is bad enough. After the first stage when he was shooting the 500, I gave up being anything resembling an RO and acted purely as a timer stand to avoid the blast.

Yea.... The concussion felt like a grenade going off, hence my initial bitch flinch.

Go kle!

Josh saying "hold on tight" reminded me why I often recommend him as an instructor. That is seriously subtle experienced-gained knowledge right there.

Fred jumping on the first shot was epic. For those of you who don't know Fred, there are very, very few things I can imagine would make him blink hard, much more jump.

How the heck did you guys score the beheading of the non-threat on Stage 4?

I'll admit that if it weren't for $100 in raffle tickets from the Loudoun County Friends of the NRA (http://www.virginiagunraffle.com/) two years ago, I wouldn't have the 500. I got lucky and one of them hit...and now I've finally figured out a use for the gun :D

Though I guess I could justify having a 460XVR and shoot .45 Colt in Bullseye matches (for the .45 parts)...hmm...and I suppose I can punch .45-cal holes through cardboard KSTG targets a little harder than everyone else once in a while...

Oh my god, the t-rex arms... :D

No stones in glass houses...I jump a bit at the first shot or few of anything big-bore @ an indoor range.
