I don't normally post articles but there is to much dumb in this not to.

This is the first time I've heard of this group but admittedly I don't follow antigun news very closely. Are they trying to reduce gun violence or the use of crack because I can't really tell? Or maybe they are looking for witches? Maybe they should look at the amount of gun violence committed by illegal immigrants.

Obviously taking on "the 1% of gun shops responsible for 60% of the crimes" are the problem. Let's just quote the bible and go after these heathens.

The other thing that strikes me as ironic is the fact that mayors are backing this group. I guess separation of church and state only applies when it's convenient.

It's crap like this that caused me to start taking my family to a non denominational church.

Rant over.

I'll laugh my ass off if it turns out this "grassroots movement" is funded by Bloomberg.

These institutions of civil society have joined together to fight for social justice and the common good on issues of shared concern. Founded in 1997, United Power is an affiliate of the Industrial Areas Foundation (IAF), the oldest and largest network of community organizations in the country.

IAF was founded by Saul Alinsky, and state senator Obama did work extensively with their Chicago subsidiary, United Power for Action and Justice, yes.
