Because of eyesight issues I need to purchase a laser for ccw.
I am torn between a Crimson Trace grip activated laser, a rail mount flashlight/ laser combo finger activated or a rail mounted flashlight laser combo with a DG switch.
I am only considering Surefire with DG Switch , Crimson Trace grip activated or Streamlight finger activated.
Any insight as to the plus or minuses of these three systems would be appreciated.

When I was carrying GL17s/GL19s I had CT laser grips on them. I would then put DG11/X300 on one as a bedside gun. This works very well. I shot this at Rogers on the night shoot. it's like cheating.
If you can put up with the bulk, I like a DG/X400 better. It is water resistant and tougher than the CT I believe and IMHO easier to avoid light/laser NDs.

All of my carry J frames have CT grips.

As an aside I shoot a lot in dim to dark conditions. I like Trijicon HD orange, Laser/light and separate hand held light.

This past year I am carrying HK P30s and HK45s. The only way to get a light/laser is X400/DG11. This fits the P30 perfectly, on the HK45 DG11 has 1/8" or so gap behind it.
I have yet to get an AIWB setup for HK with DG/X400.

I am looking at the same scenario except I'm looking at the VP9. Did you carry the Glocks AIWB? If so why haven't you made that a carry option with the HK. Is the bulk/length of the x400 stopping you? How do you carry the HK with the x400? Thanks for the reply. This is exactly the info I am looking for.
