I was reading about this load for short barrels.
Remington says that the bullet wont plug.
Say it has spiral nose cuts ( so does GS) leading off a hexagonally punched hollow point cavity
Also says its 100fps slower than other loadings.

I was interested in the 38spl load that's 125grs.

I wouldn't mind seeing it tested since there isn't that many 38spl loads that are approved. DPX110/135GD/130rangerB

Or maybe its just a gimmick and re box GS

The older .38 special GS I have in the basement doesn't have the helical cuts on the jacket, so perhaps it is a bit of a bullet redesign.

I saw a test that compared win ranger 130gr +P and the compact rem load 125gr +P

The ranger load P=12inches and the Remington compact 125gr P=15inches
Both expanded very well

The only bad thing was the gel used was the clear type and the author used a Tshirt and a field jacket for the test. (instead of the 4layerD)

don't even know if the field jacket had a liner??

According to CTD the 38spl 125gr +P velocity is 975 fps

I wish Remington or LE rem would have more info on this load
