I will be MD at the Peacemaker National Training Center for IDPA Saturday. We have six stages and morning and afternoon squads.
I currently have three slots available in the morning for SO's and 1-2 slots available in the afternoon. SO's shoot for free, which normally costs $25.
You do not need to be certified as an IDPA SO, but you must be knowledgeable enough to run the stages according to the rules, and you must be an experienced Safety Officer or Range Officer who has run the timer at least 60 times. USPSA RO's are welcome, but you promise to abide by the IDPA rules...this is not USPSA...(I know you can do it...practice saying "COVER" in the mirror over and over). I will have a short-list of the critical rules so you have them and we will review the stages before the match.

One of the stages will be a KSTG Classifier. It's up to Josh if he wants to accept them as official. But I will run them according to KSTG rules and scoring.

Please email me at cclaxton@verizon.net if you are interested in SOing for this match. Morning arrival is 8AM, afternoon arrival is 12PM.

There is also a new USCA 2-Gun match going on in the morning and then the afternoon. So, if you SO in the morning, you can shoot the 2-gun in the afternoon, or visa versa. http://www.uscarbineassociation.com/images/pdf/USCARulebookJuly2013v2-3.pdf

Cody

So you're going to put index cards on the head boxes of the IDPA target?

Yes, and will score them according to KSTG rules. This is only for the KSTG stage. The other 5 IDPA stages will be according to IDPA rules.

Gotcha.

FWIW: It's not up to Josh as to whether the classifiers are accepted.

Class Semiauto Revolver
Master < 18.00 seconds < 21.00 seconds
A 18.00 – 22.50 seconds 21.00 – 26.25 seconds
B 22.51 – 29.25 seconds 26.26 – 34.13 seconds
C 29.26 – 40.95 seconds 34.14 – 47.48 seconds
D 40.96 + seconds 47.49 + second

Are these times still good?

If that's what is on page 14 of the rule book, located here:
http://kstghq.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/kstg-11Dec.pdf

Then it's the most up-to-date that I'm aware of.

Just an update on the KSTG Classifier. It needs to be approved to Todd or Simon. I am not going to bother Todd with this. We are going to run it according to the rules, and I will keep a written record of the scores and submit it to Simon for approval. The FAST drill is an excellent drill and I am trying to encourage people to attend the KSTG matches each month at the NRA range.

Thanks,
Cody

The FAST drill isn't a drill at all, it's a test. I read somewhere.

It's even included in the URL of the FASTest page:

Tellingly, it's not called the FASD. Wouldn't be as catchy.
