Thanks to the crew for one of the most intricate KSTG matches we've had in a while, I think! Procedural penalties galore!

With all the various steel targets and barricades in addition to the usual array of paper targets, tear-down seemed to be much more involved than ever (though we did have a lot of help with many people pitching in, so it was still done relatively quickly).

Last nights match was a thinking man's game. "No, wait...you are a non-threat...what color are you?...what stage is this?......Aaaiggghhhh!"
It was a great way to force us to think about target identification and process that under the stress of the clock.

Does KSTG limit the pictures you put on the targets? We could try some with knives, some with guns, some with nunchuks...same idea, and some with badges and guns.

If you want a thinking man's game forget the pictures, put math problems on there!

Shoot all of the prime numbers
Shoot all numbers divisible by 7
Shoot enough numbered targets to total between 33 and 41
etc

Thanks to everyone who helped with setup, match administration, and/or tear down.

I cut 40 seconds off my time on my 2nd run....I just pushed myself harder.
Josh cut 23 seconds off his time on his 2nd run.

That is not always the case.

Everybody shot very safely and I didn't see any finger issues. Makes an SO feel good. THANK YOU.

It's not just about pushing yourself harder, you've now shot the stage and can come up with a better plan based on what worked, didn't work, and better ideas of your shooting partners.

True. But when I have done this in the past the margin of improvement was very small, and in many cases I shot it worse.
Just interesting how much Josh and I shaved off for this one.

The more complex the stage, the larger the potential improvement.

In my case, on my first run I had a 20 second penalty and, due to limited time after setup, didn't think about stage plans beyond shoot the targets as I see them.

The S&W 5906 will see use again. I was always shy about DA/SA but it really was fine. Fun match!

It was truly an outstanding match, despite my dead last 1st Run. We definitely need to do more like this. Loved it. Speaking of improvement, it looks like I moved from dead last to fourth on my second run.

Great match, even with all the errors I made. Glad I decided to run my G41 in my re-entry slot, since I always assume the 34/35/41 series was equal in barrel length to a 5" 1911, but apparently isn't. I managed a 2 second improvement on my second run. :p

Still have no idea how I made B classification that first classifier I shot. I'm a competent C-class shooter, but a fair to poor B-class shooter.
