An Ode to the 3x5 index card:
Thou art so plentiful, it is easy to take handfuls of you from the office without anyone knowing.
Thou art so cheap in quantity, if anyone notices, nobody cares.
Thou art so in use for note taking, it is easy to blame others for your absence…
And thou force me to use the sights and have trigger control if I want to hit you at 50 feet.
You come in many colors and always contrast with my sights.
You move when you are hit, so I do not have to keep bringing the target back in to see if I hit you.
You amaze others when you dance as the bullet strikes from so far away making me look really good.

I look forward to shooting you and your brethren in the future.

The Sharpie, tape, and stapler are waiting for their own threads...

Better yet is the 3x5 sticky. No tape or staples required.

I was unaware of these. My life has changed measurably.

They make 'full adhesive' 3 x 3 stickies, as well...no need to tape or staple the bottoms!

Um...my range has target holding clips, so I just clip the cards to the holder and send it out...

That also makes the target a little smaller which isn't a bad thing.

Good, more for your home office.

Uh, been ages since I tried poetry, maybe some haiku "ish".

The 8 inch paper plate
Cheap since Sam's has'm,
Hitting one at 50 yards,
Gives me an orgasm

The 3x5 stickies are a gift from the gods, will be looking for those the next time I'm at Staples, thanks!
Full sticky ones I've never seen those before, so will also be looking for those.

Awesome, mine get all full of staple holes after a few range trips.
