Sorry if this had been posted before. But I find it funny. It was from a friend's email.

Reminds me of an incident over twenty years ago. I responded to assist the Metro PD with an attempted car jacking. Two disenfranchized members of our society had jumped in the vehicle of a seventy five year old woman, who was exiting a grocery store parking lot. The suspects jumped in the vehicle and attempted to push her out while grabbing for her purse. She began screaming and laying about with the purse quite vigorously. Apparently the suspects decided to seek easier pickings elsewhere and fled the scene. I showed up with a PD Officer who looked all of eighteen. He asked the woman what kind of valuables she had in her purse, and she replied, "Five dollars". He looked rather confused and asked her why she just hadn't given the purse up. Her reply? "Sonny, it was my five dollars and they weren't gonna get it." Rock on granny.
