Hi, I'am trying to disassemble my glock 19 gen 4. I'm having trouble removing the slide pin or trigger pin, whichever is the correct word for. I have read online that moving the slide release up and down and back and fourth would help, but I have had no luck, the pin seems to not really move at all. I have removed to the top pin first from what has been said to do and I'm still stuck at this point on how to remove it. Need help. Thanks.

Apply a little pressure to the left side of the pin and move the slide stop more fore and aft and the pin will move. The Gen 4 Glocks are tight but keep trying with light pressure and wiggle.
Find a Glock Armorer before you resort to a hammer!
Definitely don't use a hammer. A Glock tool and hand pressure will work, just more of it. If it's a new pistol it will be very tight the first few times you do it, but it will loosen up considerably after a few times. Pushing from the left hand side and moving the slide catch around at the same time is the proper way. If I remember correctly this is the "#3" pin as it was taught in the armorers course.

I have found the slide release to require an insane amount of jiggling to get the pins out on Gen 4's. Annoying enough that I even YouTubed it.

Trigger pins are shipped with a compound on them to prevent corrosion that causes them to come out hard. They loosen up with time and cleaning. gen4 pins on my well-used guns come out easy.

As mentioned, keep jiggling, wiggling, and pushing. I had one recently, brand new never taken apart before, that was so tough I resorted to a second person to help hold things steady while I kept trying. Eventually it will come. And also as mentioned, no hammers!

You should try to remove one from a new G42 the first time.

I find it best to wiggle and jiggle with purpose. The slide stop spring pushes the slide stop down and back. So, try sliding it forward while twisting it upwards. The problem is that you are trying to center the hole in the slide stop over the pin. While you are doing this wiggling with two fingers, use the other hand to maintain pressure on the pin with a 3/32 punch, pushing from left to right.
