WML and Night Sights

I'm in the process of researching upgrades for my P07. I bought it with the intention of putting a WML on it and using it as a night stand and a Things-That-Go-Bump-In-The-Night gun, with a little bit of IDPA and other shooting games to gain and maintain proficiency.

That's the back story. The burning question is, does the group recommend night sights if I have a dedicated WML with a secondary handheld light? If so, please detail why. If there's another thread that addresses this please point me to it as my P-F search-fu hasn't turned anything up as of yet.

I see that you've gotten a bunch of threads to read from Byron, so I'll just add that I found the tritium front sight on my gun to be extremely useful at a recent night shoot. (You may have seen the video.) Sure, it was useful for pointing the gun right up to the point that my 600lm light went on -- but it was especially useful for visually verifying during admin work (reloads, holstering, etc) where the loud end was at all times in the pitch darkness.

After that experience, my new standard for "bump-in-the-night gun" includes a WML/laser with remote switch, a handheld initially set to 225lm, and a tritium front sight.

I did not feel that I was at a particular deficit without rear-sight tritium element(s). If there was enough ambient light for target ID, I could line up the tritium dot in the rear notch. If there wasn't, well, turning on the handheld or the WML was more than enough to give me a good sight picture. :)
