I seem to recall an article in SWAT magazine, within the last couple of years, that offered a formula to compare courses of fire. IIRC, they looked at target size, distance, and allotted time and were able to develop of number to compare different shooting drills. Does anyone remember this or what issue it was?

I use what I call cone of deviation. For example: 5 inch plate at 25 yds is visually equal to 1 in at 5 yds. So 5 inch ÷ 25yd = .20 x 5 (desired target placement distance)=1 inch target placed at 5 yds. Following the example the target would be 1.2 inches at 6 yd.
