Not my first choice but I guess this is a situation where any gun beats no gun.....

Given that it's a manually operated firearm, this gentleman is fortunate the gang didn't flank or swarm him en masse.

sending this to an anti-gun acquaintance of mine.

the same stuff happens in britain all the time. without the non-violent resolution.

I had to watch that twice because the first time I was distracted by the pinkish-purple Kilt, welding apron, Drew Carey look-a-like guy.

One thing about a .30 caliber rifle, that first dude is in serious trouble. Nobody wants to first. :D

Agreed.

The last dude would have been in serious trouble if he had the bayonet flipped out. That gun was made to fight with, not just shoot at other people...

Great story.

I recently got a good deal on an M44 and am having fun shooting it. It wouldn't be my first choice for up close action but the noise alone on the first shot would have made those kids wet their pants.

Not to mention the flame that comes out the barrel with soviet ammo.......It will set at least 2 more adversaries on fire....

And even with JSP rounds, the next two guys in line as well.
