View Full Version : So these guys were sitting in a parking lot...

... while on duty. They see a yellow taxi van drive into a high end subdivision. They know this is odd as there are no taxi services in our county. Long about then the BOLO comes over the radio of an escaped prisoner from the neighboring county driving, well, you guessed it.

Hilarity ensued.

That was great. I wish the COPS crew were there. I'd love to see footage of what happened after the lead car stops.

That was a fun little circle he ran in .... from where he started to coming almost full circle. Stupid criminals.

I honestly want to know what they were doing in FG subd to begin with. That's where my big boss lives. That's really shady. I am guessing looking to jack a car maybe? That's way off the beaten path from where the stole the taxi. Really bizarre.

My guess is that you are on the right track. I figure he was looking to dump the taxi and jack something less recognizable.

Job well done. Glad it ended well. I did have to chuckle at the two people involved in the fender-bender staring dumbfounded at the cruiser as the pursuit flowed around them.

(Am I the only one who leans to one side and/or tries to look off-screen when the target vehicle moves out of the frame in dash-cam videos?)

Chief, sorry if I somehow missed the answer to this, but why was there a taxi vehicle in a county fleet-management facility?

My understanding is that they were there for safety inspections as part of their permitting.
