No shave November is over.
Should the beard stay or go?

Quote from the link:

There's A Name For People Without Beards - If you have the ability to put hair on your face, then you better get started on that post-haste. There is nothing more feminine than the smooth cheeks of a boy-man. You might as well put on a skirt and swirl around like a princess if you deny yourself a beard.
I laughed.
If I keep the beard, i'm buying the shirt.

I just used it as an excuse to be lazy.
Now I kind of like the beard.
The wife is still complaining about getting poked (Archer: "phrasing").

I usually hang on to my beard* till around St. Patrick's Day. Then it gets trimmed down to just around the mouth. If you like your's, keep it. I think it looks good on you dude... no homo.

*cheeks and neck are shaved, and I keep it at about a #3 clipper length.

I'm in the same boat.

I don't do change very often so I'm afraid if I leave if alone I may have it a while.

Consider it a blessing. Shaving every day sucks.
One of the best things about working for yourself....? Not having to shave every day.

James Bond=no beard.

ETA: not that the OP's beard isn't swell or reminiscent of Mr. Michael in any way.

Keep it. From what I understand the only substance hard enough to cut JodyH is JodyH, so shaving would involve punching yourself.

And as a fellow member of the thin blonde hair crowd, here's an internet fist bump of support for ToddG. My beard is somewhat better, but the top of my head is starting to look more like Todd's beard (wait, what?) So even though I'm not technically "going bald", I still look bald from certain angles and in every picture taken of me ever. It's awesome

E-fist-bump here as well. I don't think I could grow that much "beard" in twice the time. The hair on my head, however, is easily my fifth best feature.

I called mine a furlough beard because I started it early this year (Oct 1 when I got a 3 week FED vacation). I just shaved Tuesday. We have a new baby coming in a week and I figured I wouldn't scare the little guy when he gets here.

I grow a man beard and it's gray.

Yup I'm losing faith that I will ever be able to grow a beard.

Around this time I get creative with the beard I have grown. Usually I rock the friendly mutton chops for a while ala "ZULU!".

After much wailing and gnashing of teeth, I finally trimmed my beard back. I was getting annoyed at the number of people asking me if I was in Duck Dynasty or ZZ Top, and the annoyance of maintaining it finally started to overcome the annoyance of trimming it. I think I may have burned out a set of hair clippers in the process, but I now have a more close-cropped face mane. I never realized how much I stroked my beard during the day. Now I find myself reaching for it about three inches below my chin, finding nothing, and it is momentarily disconcerting.

After letting my beard go for a month straight, I was going to shave it, but...

Nah. I wasn't going to shave it.

Trim ftw.

I've been sporting an attempt at Heisenberg-esque goatee since September, my facial hair is too sparse at the cheeks for a full beard to work but the individual hairs are dark and course enough that I can just about pull this off. The biggest weak point is the mustache which rather sparse and doesn't join the beard.

I have the opposite of Todd's problem, take a few days off work and don't shave, need clippers to get stuff chopped down enough to be able to shave and go back to work.

Due to regs all I can do is the stach on a daily basis until I get retired.

This thread is timely since I skipped shaving a day and found a little salt and pepper blizzard on my face, with more salt than I like. Brings me down since I'm not yet quite ready to rock the Papa Hemingway Snow White that seems imminent, so...I shave.

Jody, yours looks fine as long as your wife says it does. Can you tell I'm married? ;)

Feel your pain. My zero to full beard time is about five days. I might try to trim the crazy mess and let it ride through the winter this year.
