We have a K9 workshop going this week. There are 20+ teams attending. One of the local reporters came out today to do a story on the workshop, and was somehow convinced to put on the bite suit that his story would have an extra level of authenticity. I don't know who on earth would have done such a thing. I'll link the articles here once they are posted, but I'll give y'all a few pictures and video to see until then.

"Basco" belongs to a neighboring agency. He likes to come over and play with our guys a lot. He is a proud papa of a six week old litter of pups.

He's not a Mal, but here is one of our guy "Cago" getting a piece of the photographer:

Very cool, nothing more humbling than having your butt handed to you by a 90lbs K9. Nothing funner to watch either...

Suiting up for the first time is pretty intimidating! I've done it on a handful of occasions now and it doesn't really phase me anymore. Looking forward to the article.

Here is the first article:

The reporter is also going to do a piece about his experience in the bite suit. They had a photographer there that got pictures of all of the dog teams and shot some video; so, hopefully they will post a photo gallery as well.

Kudos to the reporter for putting on the suit. I'd love to try that sometime.

How far are you from I-95?

The wife and I are planning to take the dog on vacation to Florida early next year. I'm not sure our dog could participate but my wife could always take her for a hike while I got chewed on by Cujo & Co.

We are immediately south of Athens. If you took 85 south from Charlotte you would get dang close to us. Then getting to 75 to head back southwest is an easy trip.

Yeah, that's about five hours added to the drive. We'll call this one doubtful. Sorry. I do appreciate the offer, though!

I understand Todd. It's one thing to talk about it online, but no one really wants to be a dogs chew toy for real.
We would hate to take you that far out of the way.
Enjoy your trip to the botanical gardens, or the Peace Park, or Hippie Fest, or wherever it is in Florida you are going!!!!!

Hey Sheriff... tell you what, you send a certified K9 instructor, trained dog, and a suit to meet me somewhere along I95 and I'll suit right up.

Come along and maybe we can have a shooting contest afterwards.

The Sheriff won't be trying shoot while getting gnawed on by a Malinois...

I said "afterwards."

I'll assume that wasn't on the vocabulary list for GA public high schools.

Was presumption on the vocabulary where you went to school?

Also, since we have the dawg (Southern for dog), we get to determine when exactly "over" is...

Hard to have "afterward" until you've had "over"...
