Old story, but the thought process is systemic of the decay of the United States. They choose to believe gov't dollars come from the gov't rather than the money generators out there. I don't believe they are even aware enough to realize that it isn't the "government" that will be picking up their slack. It will be me.

You're talking about people who think companies can pay taxes without affecting the consumer.

(Because "companies" all have these Scrooge McDuck rooms full of gold coins where their money comes from. It's right next to the room where they all sit around in their top hats and blow clouds of cigar smoke shaped like dollar signs.)

Just down the street from all that money that those un-insured young people are uselessly frittering away instead of being good citizens, signing up for insurance, and paying for grandma's pacemaker.

And doubling pay of employees won't increase product prices...

Really no different than taxes though...people manipulated their situations to save money on their taxes in the same way. The $$$ they saved was offset by others who paid more. The problem is the Govt. offering subsidies in the first place.
