Can't wait to hear the liberal spin on this, and why it's a good idea all of a sudden to be involved in Iraq.

I guess since we're pulling out of the war of necessity, the war worth fighting, we'll have troops to spare to deploy to to the wrong war, because apparently Barry's decided that surges work now.

He's going to use this to spank the guy next door. Bet a dollar on it.

Going for the meatball over the heart of the plate on the liberal spin but... "George Bush and Haliburton".

That was my first thought... My second thought was... "How close to finished are they that it would cause Obama to move troops?"

C'mon, folks, there's plenty of precedent for a president who was Too Proud to Fight changing his mind.

His Imperial Majesty Barack Hussein Obama has been doing his best to blend the worst of Wilson, FDR, and Carter for the last 5 years, you expect him to stop?

I'm guessing we just didn't dump enough blood and money down that rat hole.

I'm not sure what the point if going back into Iraq is. What is the justification for further escalation at this point in time?

Did you read the article?

We're not "going back into Iraq," and the article directly spoke to your second question.

+1 Seems the Iraqi's just want more advanced tools for CT. I don't think fancier tools will help them.

Disclaimer: this is personal opinion gleaned from outside observation on the issue. I think that even if it was just giving them better tech, I think we'd still have to send "advisors" and eventually more troops. I could be very wrong though.

They wanted us gone, so my GAF meter is pegged at 0.0 for the Iraqis.

Tools that they'll just hand directly to the Iranians for reverse-engineering. I'm with FredM, screw Iraq. Let the place burn in the pyre they made for themselves.

Anything man-portable we could probably just go ahead and deliver to the Syrian resistance directly and eliminate the middleman.
