Equipment used: Glock 23 converted to 9mm, from open front concealment using Safariland ALS owb holster.

    Total number hits: 13

    Times: 6.88; 5.75; 5.72; 5.61; 5.45; 5.33; Total 34.78

    Total score: .3738

Observations: My shooting still sucks. This was last course of the day and I was definitely getting fatigued. Noticed a lot of shoving at the gun unless I slowed way down to make the shot. Got a lot to work on yet.

Equipment used: Glock 19, Keeper AIWB holster, Polo shirt for cover.
Number of Hits: 22 out of 24 (missed 24/24 by a smidgen)
    Times: 7.65, 8.61, 8.26, 8.64, 7.74, 8.08
    Total Score: 22/48.98 = 0.45
Observations: POA was about 1/2" high of center at 5 yards. Did this drill a few times and initially went too fast with few hits (typically low and left). I'm working on speeding up the trigger press while still staying on target, this drill was helpful. Dry fire on a beep is helping too. I think I'll try a version of this with double taps eventually.

One of the biggest and most common mistakes gun owners make is assuming that they are done learning how to shoot.

Total Score: (Not sure it matters, really. Low.)

Observations: Right, so with probably the lowest score evaarrr on DOTW, I am in need of improvement. 7 yards is clearly a bit too optimistic for where I am right now. In future I will go with 3 yards, so I can practice the transitions better.

But hey, at least I tried it.

observations: I was recently gifted this firearm, and with this drill brings my cumulative round count to 224.... I am liking it so far. A little too much in fact.

    Week 124: Four Corners

Glock 22, JMCK AIWB, concealed under a t-shirt

    19/24
    Cumulative time of 42.48
    Score: .45

(Forgot to print a target so I improvised by tracing 6x 2" off a dot torture target)

Observations: My times seemed slow for how fast I "felt" like I was shooting. Of my misses, they were mostly on my first circle. I think I rushed the shot coming from my draw. That's a continual problem for me, I have to tell myself to tap the breaks and concentrate on my shot. I also rarely practice transitions and this revealed that weakness as well. I'm not done with this drill...

I shot this one following a couple reps of the Two Inch Dot Challenge. I think there were plusses and minuses to that. On one hand, this wasn't shot cold; I was warmed up. But on the other hand, I was shooting DOTW #123 deliberately (not slow fire, but seeing the front sight lift off every dot) and I had to try and shift gears a bit shooting this one.

Sig 226 in a level III retention duty holster.

    First run:
    Hits: 24/24
    String times:
    4.16
    4.14
    3.78
    4.11
    4.24
    3.89
    Total time: 24.33
    Total Score: 0.986
Observations: To shoot this drill effectively, it needs to become a rhythm drill. I wasn't very successful at that and felt my transitions a bunch slower than they needed to be.

    Run 2:
    Hits: 24/24
    String times:
    3.85
    3.64
    3.56
    3.35
    3.60
    3.49
    Total time: 21.49
    Score: 1.1167
Observations: Better this time but was still shooting in a pretty conservative fashion. At some stage I'm going to try and shoot it again and push a bit further to the edge of my "comfort zone". Good drill.

Equipment used: Glock 19; my range does not allow drawing from the holster so drill was shot from low ready
    Number of Hits:21
    Times: 26.26 + 12 seconds for shooting from low ready = 38.26
    Total Score: .548
Observations: Experimenting with reloading different bullet weights. so far, the 147 grain has given me the best results over both the 115 and 124 grain. Dry fire practice has also contributed to being able to pick up the front sight and press quicker.
