Headline for article in HuffPo: "Gun Bans a Safe Haven for Killers"
Inconceivable!
ETA after reading the article... articulate, well-thought-out, not really anti in any way. I'm going to concur with gtmtnbiker98's comment below.

Surprised that it made it to print.

Seems like a very balanced article, not blaming guns, but blaming what causes bad behavior.

That a well-regulated militia, composed of the body of the people, trained to arms, is the proper, natural, and safe defense of a free state;
The NYT, of all places, published a piece about giving up on renewing the assault weapons ban.

This worries me, because it seems like the antis have finally realized their current tactics aren't working. I'm worried about what they'll go after next.
Oh, good point, Major Buzzkill. If they can't take your bang switch, they might just ban booger hooks?
The answer, it seems to me, is wrath. The mind cannot foresee its own advance. --FA Hayek Specialization is for insects.
A few thoughts;
1. Prosecute (both criminally and civilly) those who use a firearm for self defense, making it more painful (emotionally and financially) than simply allowing yourself to be victimized.
2. Limit where guns can be used for recreational purposes
3. Taxes on ammo
4. Continued brain washing of young people on how guns are "evil" and not needed in modern society
Sad part is, all of the above are already in-play.
Against policy and against the law are two different things.
I don't plan on walking into target or panera anytime soon with my AR slung over my shoulder. But I don't plan to take my pistol off any time soon either. So unless those companies are going to start padding people down before they are allowed in the store, good luck enforcing your policy.
