What do you not like about the clasp? I would be interested in the 42mm not the 39mm because I prefer that size anyway. Whenever I see pictures or videos I have always thought that the clasp would a big selling point to me vs other 42mm divers.

I just came across this Seiko solar watch, I was surprised to see it has a sapphire crystal. Too busy for me, but interesting.

Yeah, you have to be careful with the Seikos at that price point because many of them don't have a sapphire crystal. Here is another one that does, a solar diver. I got one for my son for his birthday.

That was my surprise - I’ve never seen a Seiko under $1000 with sapphire.

Seiko clearly does not care re the lack of sapphire well past the 500USD point point and mediocre bracelets.

The lack of sapphire is particularly boggling when their "sister" brand -Orient uses it extensively i.e. the Orient Kamasu at sub 350USD

Thing I learned today: Seiko and Orient are related.

TheT-Fit has more useful adjustment. I need to add/remove a half link from the Pelagos depending on the season to get a good fit, even with the 3 adjustment points. The spring setting is useless to me as it just pinches or pulls wrist hair. It's also a much longer/bulkier clasp. I would take the T-Fit every time.

I agree, I think I like my Orient's more than my Seiko’s. They offer so much bang for the buck and seem to go the extra mile, one thing I dislike about both are their bracelets, not so much that they are cheap. For the price range they are ok, look ok and work. But many of them use the pin and collar for the links, just a pain in the butt. I’d rather have the cheaper Carter key type pins then the pin and collar, of course screw would be ideal but I get it at this price point.

My Orient Neptune has sapphire a diver certified 200 meters of water resistance, great bezel action and a friggen power meter. Just looks and performs outstanding and uses the same lum as Seiko’s so bright and long lasting.

What? No, I didn't just watch Predator. Why would you ask me that?

Inherited this Bulova from my grandfather’s collection. Idk much about it; it says “Accutron” but it doesn’t have a tuning fork movement. Still cool though.

The bracelet thing goes all the way to the top. My Grand Seiko doesn’t have any micro-adjustment feature. It just has user-replaceable (with a micro screwdriver) half links. It’s either just too loose, or just too tight.
