Working on learning my new checkering fixture. Specifically the Keller fixture sold by Cylinder and Slide. Pricey and tricky to use but can give good results.
This is 90 degree checkering as opposed to the normal 60 degree checkering. This is also 20LPI but it feels a smidge less aggressive than 25LPI (@ 60 degrees). I also would simply agree if you said it feels like 25LPI@60 degrees.
So far I really like the 90 degree look. Also you don't have to go as deep to get pyramids (good for thin front straps) and the Z/knee/quill moves are .050" for the horizontals which is idiot proof (which is good for me because I have a bit of moron in my DNA).
The latest from Chuck…
A custom 1911 is like a fine piece of ass, there is no known substitute... and neither are cheap.

My new-to-me Guncrafter No. 2 in .50GI is currently sitting at my FFL. The slide will get sent out for a red dot cut and black DLC once I've fired some rounds thru it to check for proper function. Picture from seller.
