    Outpost 75:

Here are my choices for each category.

    Pocket auto 9mm or smaller:

Beretta Model 70S in 380 ACP.

    Service auto larger than 9mm:

Colt Series 70 Lightweight Commander in 45 ACP with a beavertail, sights I can see, a trigger I can manage and dehorned. Carry leather is a Sparks Summer Special II

    Revolver .38 Special or smaller:

Smith and Wesson Model 642. Leather is a Mika pocket holster.

Revolver larger than .38 Special up to .44-40:

Ruger Security Six, stainless, 4 inch heavy barrel made for the Border Patrol. Leather is a Sparks Summer Special II and/or a Sparks PMK.

Revolver of .45 caliber or larger.
    :

Smith and Wesson Model 25-2 with a barrel shortened to 4 inches and a ramp front sight installed. Leather: Sparks Summer Special/Sparks 200 AW.

Honorable Mention: Service Auto of 9mm caliber: Browning Hi Power with a custom beavertail, sights I can see, a trigger I can manage and dehorned. Leather: Sparks Summer Special II/Sparks 1AT floral carved in black.

Interesting exercise and similar to one I posted about back near Christmas.

    What are your choices?

I guess I misunderstood the question. This is what I used to carry that was old school and when I was younger and could see.

This one came my way upon turning 21. I carried it a ton back in the day.

S&W 638. Goes in the pocket several times a week.

Great for carry, @GJM, but it might hurt one if shot! I’ve got one of the rimfire .22s that goes in a pocket every now and then.

For me, my somewhat haphazard collection:

1)Colt LW Commander in .45acp. A Swenson manual safety and big fixed sights. 230 gr. “hardball” just because…
Davis Liberty holster, single mag pouch.
2)S&W 649. I put 125 Remington +Ps in it back in the day, but now I’d run Lost Rivers standard pressure wadcutters.

Some of you folks have beautiful vintage pieces!

I have a Browning Hi-Power, but it’s in its original form from the 70s, and I can feel the sights on it, I just don’t see them very well now. Oh, and a 6” 625; I’d have to get a shoulder holster for it, though.

(Hey, that might be the one I traded in in 1995. I want it back. )
