Finally, I have a proper Fridge Beretta...

After many years, I finally ran into an M1935 in decent shape and at a decent price. It's a fascinating link in the evolution of my favorite pistols, and let's face it, everyone needs a Fridge Beretta. Assuming it runs, I'll be taking this to the local BUG match soon.

And hey… I’ve always said Italian makes the best leftovers…

This appears to be a later-production civilian-market gun. No military proofs, "Made in Italy" marked in English on the right side of the slide, and a 1957 proof date. The slide has that purplish mid-century Beretta bluing that you see on very early 92s. And best of all, the 'light surface rust' mentioned in the auction description turned out to just be dried-out oil and gunk that wiped right off with some solvent and a nylon brush.

I'm really excited at the prospect of putting some rounds through it this weekend.
