Fairness leads to extinction much faster than harsh parameters.
I very much like the show. It does have some typical Hollywood firearms errors, but the plots are usually pretty well done.
Even though it is set in Wyoming they do the filming in New Mexico.
The gun handling is bad, unbelievable. This is no Justified insofar as plot/story, either.

I like it. It's fun.
Oddly, in one episode, I agree with all of you.

Never watched it so I'll assume the above criticisms are valid.
However, as a counter argument: Katee Sackhoff.
Walt's tough stuff. I like his character. Like the setting.
Plus there's Katie Sackoff.
In a sort of ghastly simplicity we remove the organ and demand the function. We make men without chests and expect of them virtue and enterprise. We laugh at honour and are shocked to find traitors in our midst. We castrate and bid the geldings be fruitful.” ― C.S. Lewis, The Abolition of Man
The show started off ok, but got kind of cheesy at a certain point. My wife liked it enough that we kept watching it. For me, frankly the setting saved the whole series in my opinion. By the end of each episode I was ready to throw our stuff in boxes and move to Wyoming.
Makes me wish I was patrolling in a 4X4 using a 30-30 as a "patrol rifle".
