I'll read Josh Blackman in a moment, so forgive me if I say something stupid or something he said

There is no way to regulate these files/3D printers, CNC machines the way they intend/want. It is, IMO and IANAL, a Minority Report fiction to impose this type of certitude in regulating a) the internet/information and b) a machine that does not have the ability to understand the end user and then extend that knowledge adeptly into the matrix of all current laws it to all laws.

This will be an either/or choice between a future of North Korea or a future of freedom. Go ahead and pull your coins out and begin flipping
Fairness leads to extinction much faster than harsh parameters.

    You can't stop the signal.
    Books. Bikes. Boomsticks.

I can explain it to you. I can’t understand it for you.

In a sort of ghastly simplicity we remove the organ and demand the function. We make men without chests and expect of them virtue and enterprise. We laugh at honour and are shocked to find traitors in our midst. We castrate and bid the geldings be fruitful.” ― C.S. Lewis, The Abolition of Man

Take it down all they want, I'd rather see a better one anyway. Ban drafting programs!
    Think for yourself. Question authority.

I was one of the naysayers who asked "what's the point?"

Then I read an interview with the creator and he said he couldn't wait to see someone take a picture of a liberator in London or China. Then suddenly it all "clicked" for me.

    I salute the guy.

to me the point was always "because we can."
