No matter what the job, probably not the best idea to talk like that regardless of if you are on the air or not. Talk about an HR nightmare incarnate!

Just from the guy's intro and speaking skills he shouldn't have had the job to begin with.

He was fired. Not sure if it's a surprise-guess he should've been taught that whispering under your breath was audible when you point your lips to the lapel mic, eh?

Small markets like that are the Pop Warner leagues of broadcast journalism.
    Books. Bikes. Boomsticks.

I can explain it to you. I can’t understand it for you.

I must be a horrible person. This was a very good way to start my daily shadenfreude regimen. But yeah, that was about as dumb as me dropping an f-bomb in a briefing for a full-bird Colonel.

But fired? It's not like he accidentally killed someone. He said some bad words under his breath. Stupid yes, but worthy of firing? Poor guy probably just moved his entire life to freakin' DAKOTA and now he's got to pack it up and find a new job. Just seems like self-righteous overkill to me.

Now I admit from the tiny bit of video we see, he seemed like a horrible talking head anyway and perhaps his overall nervous performance was enough to get him taken off the air anyway... and the cussing just gave the station an easy excuse.

    Could've been worse........

    Example:

    "Whose dumb-ass idea is that?"

    O-6: "mine".

"Well, I'm now convinced that you Sir, are a F$&@ing idiot"
