I came to CT 21 years ago for law school. I never liked it that much to begin with but these days? Texas looks very good to me. http://www.courant.com/news/connecti...,1679703.story

    Civil disobedience.
On Jan. 1, 2014, tens of thousands of defiant gun owners seemingly made the choice not to register their semi-automatic rifles with the state of Connecticut as required by a hastily-passed gun control law. By possessing unregistered so-called “assault rifles,” they all technically became guilty of committing Class D felonies overnight.

    Waaaay out west.
We've had laws like this in Canada for many years. Mag restrictions, licensing for firearms ownership/ammo purchases and even licensing to transport handguns to approved facilities.

It sucks like an hour long Dane Cook comedy special.

Fight stupid laws as hard as you can. Thar means letter writing, political donations and support to parties who will help the cause.
