    Nick - I waited approximately 6 years on my Omega when the performance started to degrade. Since it was out of warranty I took mine to a local jeweler who is an authorized Rolex repair guy and he knocked it out for $100.

    I've been lusting after one of these for a while, but can't find one local to look at and I'm not willing to drop the amount of cash they want sight unseen. Can't even find a review... sure is purdy though.

    Sorry for the bad picture but I'm not good with photos.

    Here is a 1964 Rolex Daytona 6239. My dad received this from his mom shortly after graduating college. He passed it down to me over Thanksgiving.



    I don't ever remember him wearing it. My mom purchased a "root beer" GMT as a wedding present that he wore for over 30 years.

    I hope to pass this on to my son some day.
