I broke another Dawson sight (video)

This is the second Dawson fiber optic sight I broke. Here is the story on the first one. http://www.berettaforum.net/vb/showthread.php?t=91385

This time I've got video. I haven't videoed myself shooting in a while so today I thought I would, and I just happened to break my sight on camera.

I'm working some press-out drills on a plate rack at 15-yards at my range, and even though I work many other drills, I just happened to be working press-out drills the last time my sight broke.

Now you tell me if I'm being too rough with this sight and don’t mind me talking to myself on the video. I'll clear the first rack and then I'll notice it's broken on the first shot of the second rack.

I have dawson's on my 1911 for SS in USPSA and on my brand new 34 for Production.

Did dawson take care of your first broken sight? Do you expect them to take care of you on this one?

I wouldn't say that your video displayed any negligent abuse by any means. I hope dawson takes care of the sight.

Yeah, they replaced the first sight that broke and I'm hoping they will replace this one too. I'll send them the video if they want to see it.

I haven't videoed myself in quite some time so it's a "fortuitous" coincidence that is broke today.

I spoke with Dawson today and they gave me an RMA number and won't do anything until I return the sight.

They said it would not be covered under warranty if it broke from getting banged around. I sent them the video so they can see I'm not doing anything unusual.

I guess I'll pop the sight off tomorrow. Thankfully, I've got another A1 on standby with a Trijicon front.

    God Bless,
    David
